why seated · The K'iche' book of the council: the creation, the failed peoples of mud and wood, the Hero Twins in Xibalba, and the lineages of the K'iche' lords. A book whose preamble says it is written again because the original can no longer be seen: the archive's line on books that survive as their own transmission meets it there.
