why seated · The poem whose name the archive's own Pearl and Other Poems (2014) carries, seated so the name has its source on the shelf. A father who has lost a pearl in the grass, his daughter, dead before she was two, falls asleep where it fell and sees her across a river in the New Jerusalem of Revelation 21: the archive's Revelation line meets it there.
