why seated · Theogony, Works and Days, Shield. Seated to characterise the DISTANCE-INHERITANCE class on the same nine-feature battery used for direct master-student pairs — monolingual Greek so the lexical features stay comparable. Homer to Apollonius is roughly five centuries with no possible contact; Hesiod is the same-period alternative source. Plato and Aristotle are deliberately NOT examined until both classes are characterised.
